14 Signs YOUR Soul Is Tired!

Even the soul needs a break. Hard to believe, but true: Our soul can exhaust and tire. It is used to a lot and can endure a lot if it has to, but at some point even its batteries are empty and it urgently needs a restart. If you notice even some of the following points that we present in this article, your soul is running on reserve.

1. The past is your present

A soul collapse shows similar traits as mental stress. With mental stress, our brain makes us believe by means of dejavue that we have been in this situation before and that everything is under control and in order. Our soul uses a similar mechanism when it is overstrained. It allows itself to wallow more in the past, even though your life is actually happening in the here and now.

2. You are trapped in self-criticism

Your soul is your most loyal companion and always by your side, it also protects you from harm, for example from the constantly nagging inner critic who can't leave any stone unturned. If your soul even temporarily goes on strike, the door is opened to unbridled self-criticism. You are constantly struggling with yourself and your shortcomings and are hard on yourself.

3. Your strength is not enough for others

Are you actually a helpful person and always have a listening ear for the concerns of others? Then it is surely an alarm sign if you have absolutely no nerves and no understanding left for others. Your soul needs energy for itself, because unfortunately there is none left for others at the moment.

4. Nobody loves you

This feeling suddenly accompanies you constantly, no one seems to want to spend time with you. All the events you were looking forward to are canceled, and no one wants to call you either. The feeling of not being loved is typical of a soul low.

5. You find it difficult to draw boundaries

You have zero energy left for other people, but you can't bring yourself to say "no". You suddenly become a yes-man or a yes-woman, although you are already at the limit of your resources. You simply lack the strength to distance yourself.

6. Like being wrapped in cotton batting

You spend your days in a daze. Every step you take feels as if someone has packed you in absorbent cotton overnight and sent you outside, well insulated from the world. This state is quite typical when the body and soul are not on the same wavelength. If they are in harmony with each other, we feel every fiber of our self and are completely in ourselves every minute. If you want to get rid of this wadded-up feeling quickly and easily, yoga is the remedy of choice for you. Guided meditation can also bring you back to your center quickly and gently.

7. A diffuse anxiety dominates you

At the moment everything seems connected with risk, you weigh every little step and in the end you rather decide to stay in before you do something wrong. This uncertainty results from a weakened general mental state that clouds your judgment and makes you despondent. Unfortunately, this symptom weakens your drive so much that escaping the status quo seems impossible to you. Remaining in this state seems to you to be the only right thing to do.

8. Physical exhaustion takes hold

When our soul is tired, our body follows suit. The two are one; like Siamese twins, one half cannot be without the other. But this also requires that they can operate energetically at the same level. When the soul goes limp, the body can't help it and does the same. Stupidly, exercise in the fresh air would be the first efficient measure to do good to your soul. However, you find it exceptionally difficult to get going and walk a few steps if not absolutely necessary.

9. You wonder what the future will bring.

In addition to a general anxiety that can no longer be defined, you are increasingly worried about the future. You are constantly imagining the worst scenarios and cannot grasp any positive thoughts. At some point, this doomsday mood envelops you like a dark veil.

10. You don’t belong in your own life.

When your soul is burned out, you find it increasingly difficult to feel like you belong. No matter what people you meet, you just can't find your way in their midst, everywhere you go you are out of place and feel like the bull in the china shop. Don’t give in to this feeling, it is a snapshot of acute mental exhaustion. This too shall pass.

11. You let others trample on you.

Your self-esteem is at rock bottom, so other people are welcome to treat you badly. You simply have no strength to counteract it. This is solely because your psyche is not at its peak right now. Hang in there and don't take stupid sayings too much to heart.

12. You’re in a fog

Can't even see your hand in front of your face when you look at your life? Have you lost sight of yourself and everything else around you? Grasping at straws is typical for people who do not have a strong fire of the soul to warm them up and give them the necessary perspective. The fog always lifts only when the sun shines again.

13. Excuses from work

You're not really a quitter, but right now excuses come more easily to your lips than a "yes" or "no." Excuses are kind of like the ball player of interpersonal communication, they don't commit us to anything and yet save face. In the case of mental burnout, they are welcome tools to avoid pending decisions for a while longer. They are practical and versatile, but unfortunately not a permanent solution. When you can no longer believe your lame arguments yourself, you're in mental emergency mode.

14. You lead life at a distance

Long live non-commitment and freedom - that's what you think to yourself whenever you're not in the mood for interpersonal interactions. After all, these demand commitment, our full attention and no small amount of life force. You don't have all these things when you are mentally exhausted and emotionally drained. Isolating yourself from the world seems to be the only viable alternative in these moments.

Today’s Conclusion:

First aid: time off. If you notice several of these symptoms, it's high time to take some time off. This includes not only professional and private obligations, but also your smartphone and all social media activities. If at all possible, give yourself some time alone and spend it in nature. Nothing recharges our soul as quickly as being in direct contact with the elements. That's it for today.
